The four-star hotel (pictured above) will honour the life of Everton Football Club legend William Ralph ‘Dixie’ Dean (1907-1980).

The construction of the hotel will see the redevelopment of the Grade II-listed, Gothic Jerome and Carlisle buildings on Victoria Street.

Due to open in late summer this year, the hotel is the brainchild of property developer and hotelier Lawrence Kenwright, chairman of Signature Living.

The 100-bed hotel will offer restaurants, bars and events space and sit directly opposite Signature Living’s Shankly hotel, a tribute to the former Liverpool Football Club manager Bill Shankly (1913-1981).

The hotels will create Liverpool’s first-ever football quarter and Signature Living has applied for permission to pedestrianise the area to create a tree-lined boulevard of statues to honour both Liverpool and Everton football greats.

“This will be an amazing tribute to our great football teams that their history and legacy lives on when people come to visit our great city.”
